A zero-waste method for curbside recycling
used oil filters. One that would be utilized by all people who change their own automotive or power equipment oil and filters at home.
A method that converts the used oil filter canister into its own recycling container, and all of the materials (petroleum, steel, rubber) are reclaimed and reused without contaminating soil and fresh water supplies.
The product would be reusable or disposable. If disposed of, the materials would mix well with the other materials to be recycled.
The product would also serve as a cover that protects the open end of the brand new filter, keeping loose debris from entering the internal parts of the filter prior to use. This would protect the engine from potential damage.
