The Oil Stopper is a unique zero-waste oil filter cover used for recycling used oil filters. It is a one size fits all cover that seals the end of any ordinary oil filter, effectively turning it into a leak-free recycling container. It is especially useful for those who change their own automotive or power equipment lubricating oil and filters at home, and have access to a curbside recycling service. By utilizing accessories designed for the Oil Stopper, the filter recycling assembly can be attached to any number of other recycling products used for curbside recycling.

This method alleviates the daunting task of having to punch a hole in the oil filter for drainage purposes prior to disposal. Since the Oil Stopper converts the entire used oil filter canister into a self contained recycling container, all of the materials (petroleum, steel, rubber, and cellulose) are reclaimed and reused without leakage. This helps eliminate the possibility of contaminating soil and fresh water supplies.

The product can be reused or recycled. If recycled, all of the materials mix well with those used for manufacturing the oil filter.

For retail purposes, the Oil Stopper serves as a packaging cover that protects the internal parts of the filter from harmful debris prior to use. This further protects the engine or equipment from loose particles that can damage critical internal moving parts.
